Pricing & Payment
Plot prices vary depending on location within the cemetery. Please contact our office at (412) 441-5775 or through the Contact section of this site for current pricing. Our staff will be happy to walk you through all available options.
The Opening & Closing fee covers the preparation of the grave site prior to interment and the closing of the grave following the service. This includes all labor and equipment required to complete the burial.
Plot payment is due at the time of purchase. The Opening & Closing fee must be prepaid prior to the date of interment. Overtime and Chapel rental fees, if applicable, must be paid at the time of service.
We accept check, or card via Stripe invoice. Please make Checks payable to St. Peter's Cemetery. Contact our office if you have questions about payment arrangements.
Yes. On weekdays, overtime begins at 2:00 PM at a rate of $100 per full hour ($50 per half hour). On Saturdays: 12:00, 1:00 PM: $150; 1:00, 2:00 PM: $250; 2:00, 3:00 PM: $400. Chapel rental is $150. All overtime must be paid at the time of service.

Yes. Pre-need purchases are available and many families choose to plan ahead. Purchasing in advance ensures your preferred location is secured and can provide peace of mind for you and your loved ones.
Upon purchase, a Deed is issued in the name of the rights holder. The Deed records the section, lot number, purchase price, and date of issuance. This document should be kept in a safe place. Contact our office if a replacement is needed.
Plot transfers must be handled through our office and may require documentation. Please contact us to discuss your specific situation.

Services & Scheduling
Please contact our office as early as possible to coordinate scheduling. You may call (412) 441-5775 or reach us through the Contact section of this site. Our staff will work with you and your funeral home to confirm a date and time.
Yes. Chapel rental is available for $150. Please request Chapel use when scheduling your service. The Chapel is subject to availability.
Yes. We coordinate with all licensed funeral homes. The funeral director handling your arrangements will typically communicate with our office directly to confirm details.
The latest arrival time for a weekday service is 2:00 PM. Saturday services must conclude within scheduled hours to avoid overtime charges. Please notify us if you anticipate any delays.
Visiting & Grounds
The cemetery grounds are generally accessible during daylight hours. For specific hours or to arrange a visit outside of regular hours, please contact our office at (412) 441-5775.
Yes. To maintain the appearance and safety of the grounds, we ask that all decorations be tasteful and respectful. Temporary floral arrangements are welcome. Items that may obstruct maintenance equipment may be removed. Contact our office for specific guidelines.

Records & Documentation
Burial records may be searched through this site at no charge. For detailed records, please use the Search Records section above or contact our office at (412) 441-5775 with the name of the deceased and the approximate date of burial.
Following a burial, you will receive a completed Interment Record. If a plot was purchased, a Deed will also be issued. Payment receipts are provided for all transactions.
Yes. Please contact our office with proof of identity and the relevant plot information. We will work with you to issue a replacement document.
St. Peter's Cemetery maintains permanent records for all interments. Historical records dating back to the cemetery's founding in 1835 are preserved and available upon request.
